Shadows are a fundamental consequence of existing in a sunlit world and being visible and present within it. Drawing, painting and photography are one of the most powerful ways to explore this subject as they so often play between dark, light and shadow in their process and construction.
I'm delighted to be included in this exhibition of work by 12 International artists based in the UK and Portugal who explore thephenomenon of the 'Shadow/Sombra' at The Forum Grandela, Benfica, Portugal, 24 January - 21 February.
I'm thrilled to have my drawing 'Helios I' selected for the RWA Biennial Open: Paper Works exhibtion, Bristol. The show celebrates paper in it's many different forms - as a surface for drawing and printmaking and as a sculptural material. It opens on 25 January 2025 and runs until 27 April.

My drawing 'The Leavetaking I' was selected for the 'Winter Group Show' at the beautiful Linden Hall Studio in Deal which is celebrating it's tenth anniversary year. The show is the highlight of their exhibition programme, its aim is to show a cross section of the entire spectrum of the visual language, celebrating the spread of works and styles that creators independently make throughout the UK and Europe. I now have a collection of nine recent works on paper exclusively available through Irving Gallery. You can view the collection alongside a beautiful presentation about my practice and background on the gallery website. This online release of nine works is the first of the new Irving Projects, curating online collections by featured artists as well as virtual group exhibitions, extending the gallery’s programme beyond the constraints of the gallery’s physical space.
